Before that, I was surveying and Farming in South Africa.

I am a proud Cumbrian and grew up and went to School in Wigton. I am married to Ruth, a Community Midwife working in Carlisle. I have been very proud to serve as a soldier in the British Armed Forces and I understand the nature of uniformed public service and values. I now hope to serve you and my home county as the Police and Crime Commissioner, because I believe that I am well qualified for the job.

Thames Valley - Anthony Stansfeld

My name is Anthony and I was born in Newbury, and West Berks has been my home all my life. I am currently the Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley and a member of West Berks Council, and was a member of the Thames Valley Police Authority for several years.At University I studied international terrorism and global security, and I am proud to have then built a career in both the military and in industry.Aged just 17 I enlisted in the Army and saw active service in Borneo and Northern Ireland.
