I have lived in Norfolk permanently for the past 17 years.
I spent thirty years as a Canadian diplomat, serving in some of the most troubled and war torn countries: Pakistan, Afghanistan, the former Yugoslavia, Bulgaria and Albania.
I was also honoured to serve at NATO in the 1980s on the Nuclear Planning Group and for three years was Director of Nuclear and Arms Control Policy in the Canadian Defence Ministry.
By combining my love for Norfolk and my deep and wideranging experience as a diplomat, I believe that I can be the Police and Crime Commissioner that Norfolk needs and deserves - a strong, local champion.
