I am a 55 year old family man living in Redmarley, with my wife and three children, born and brought up on the farm that I run. As a farmer I enjoy the benefits of rural life as well as looking after my numerous pets and horses.
Whilst working as a farmer I became interested in serving others, and joined my District Council as an elected member. I joined Gloucestershire County Council as an elected member in 2001, and became a Cabinet member eight years ago in charge of the Fire Service.
Aside from serving on a District Council for eight years and the County Council for fourteen years I have been a school governor and a Director of a number of local charities.
I know what it is like to lead others and to serve my community. And next May I am ready to do so again as the Police and Crime Commissioner for Gloucestersshire.
