My name is John Dwyer and for the last four years I have been proud to serve you as your Police and Crime Commissioner.
I have a strong background in policing and public service. I am a former Assistant Chief Constable and was a cabinet member for three years on Crewe and Nantwich Borough Council. I am currently a trustee to a number of local charities.
Cheshire is already a fantastic place to live. Because of our excellent police force, working hand in hand with enthusiastic residents and local agencies, great progress has been made to reduce crime to a low level.
But we must not rest on our laurels. I believe Cheshire can be even better and I have a vision to make Chesire an even safer place to live.
The key to making Cheshire safer lies in further freeing officers to do what they do best - policing. By giving our police offficers the tools they need to do the job and working with central and local government, Chesire can be even safer. As your Police and Crime Commisioner I will not let you down.
